Christine's early years involved her being as sheltered by her parents as she could be from the elves of Thalassa, as she was half elf and half human. But eventually all children have to experience life lessons and learn that the world isn't always kind, and for her, it came while she was still quite young, out with her father. Elven children saw her with her human father, noticed the slight point to her ears, and began mocking her. Though her father scolded the children, they were unfazed, and it was her first taste of what it meant to be a child of two races. The experience taught Christine to appreciate others for their differences, but to also feel anger that she wasn't welcome among those with whom she shared racial ties.
As she entered adulthood, Christine already had a sense of how to be a healer from dealing with her hypochondriac mother, though on occasions where her mother was actually unwell, Christine was there for her, quickly diagnosing the problem and brewing the appropriate potion to aid her. In going to university to further her studies as a healer and alchemist, Christine gained hands on experience with patients besides her mother and the first time she correctly diagnosed a patient on her own and applied the correct cure was life changing for her. She knew she had chosen the right path and that she could make a difference in people's lives — maybe even save their lives.
The Great War had been going a few years, brought on because the leaders of three cities (three dragon brothers who were worshipped as deities) craved more power. At this time though Christine felt for those out on the battlefield, she stayed at her practice in Thalassa in safety. However, part of a dragon's power is subtle influence over the minds of people and soon the citizens became hungry for war and to see their dragon conquer all. Her father joined the fight for the white dragon and was slain in one of the many battles. In the year that followed, her mother's health deteriorated rapidly, and as Christine cured her body time and time again, she could see that her mother's soul could not be healed. Eventually her mother slipped away after a lengthy illness that Christine couldn't treat, as it was not wholly of the body. Without her parents — her only family — Christine joined the war effort as a medic only to die on the battlefield.
One hundred years later a mysterious hooded figure approached her corpse among the many still lying where they fell and resurrected her. The next day, she feels her wounds returning and — going back to the battlefield — she finds a mysterious vial of blue liquid that matches the one that somehow appeared around her neck. On touching it, the vial exploded, mixing the liquid with her blood that was shed by the glass shards. What arose from that was a peregrine falcon, and immediately Christine knew that this creature was a part of her — an animas.

AU Information
AU Name: N/A
AU Age: 32 when turned, living as a vampire for around 15+ years.
Physical Differences:
Christine's canon self is half-human, half-elf. Ordinarily she has slightly pointed ears.
Her soul was split in half with one part still within her and the other physically manifesting as a bird that she can communicate with telepathically. He AU self has a fully intact soul.
Her canon self has a scar across her stomach where she was killed with a spear. This is missing from her AU self.
Her AU self has silver eyes and blood while her canon self has blue eyes and red blood.
AU History: Christine was raised in the Silver Court lands and often longed to visit the vast repositories of knowledge the vampires held to expand her horizons, but as she was human she had to settle for small village life. Growing up, she always knew that there was a good chance she would end up as a vampire's thrall or chosen to become a vampire herself and she decided early on to seek out as much useful knowledge as she could to hopefully be of use to them for more than her blood. It wasn't easy, since it was the vampires who held all the knowledge, but she asked questions often in her community and tried to gather what information she could in the hopes her brain would be something the vampires noticed. In the meantime, she grew up surrounded by nature and took to cultivating plants and from there she learned of their medicinal properties from her father, who was a potions seller. This was helpful as her mother was often sickly and Christine tended to her during her long illnesses. Sadly, she passed away not long after Christine finished her education.
Being extremely work oriented, after her education she heavily focused on making potions as remedies for various ailments. She was an apprentice for many years and as she excelled at her work she inherited the potions shop from her father when he passed. Christine kept a neat and organized shop, saw patients by appointment, and settled in to a life of hard - but rewarding - work. A few years later she was hand picked by a vampire of the Silver court to join their ranks after he walked past the vast garden she kept behind her shop where she gathered her ingredients. He took note of the orderly way she kept things and the rare plants she had cultivated, which suggested a great deal of knowledge in botany. He of course wanted this knowledge recorded and felt she had something to offer the Silver Court. And naturally Christine knew there was no refusing him without punishment, so she had to submit.
AU Personality: Her personality is pretty similar. She tends to be more compassionate than other vampires, but that has also been dulled down due to becoming a vampire. She cares for fellow vampires more than for humans, but the fact she cares for humans at all is a novelty. Beyond that, her tendency to favor safety and security, worry, act controlling, get frustrated with reckless behavior, and be a workaholic is all on brand.

Course Information
Court: Christine belongs to the Silver Court. Her background in healing and tendency to be wary of dangers means she gravitated easily towards the place that wants to Protect and Preserve. The focus on knowledge gathering and cultivation isn't much different than what she was doing as a human.
Subjects of Interest:
Healing: can teach either beginners or advanced
Botany: an overall general course, but she will teach a little about flora used for potions too
Research and Preservation of Knowledge: how to research and use the library
Unofficial course:
Dancing club: focusing on ballroom dancing
Maker/Blood Claim: Vidar is a male vampire of the Silver Court who focuses on gathering bits of lost history for one of the libraries. He tends to travel out on his own and prefers listening to rumors of stories from the humans than directly ask them where to find these sources. He came upon Christine's shop by chance and was intrigued by what he saw as he usually took no note of the things humans did. While not cruel, he was extremely direct when meeting Christine and really gave her no chance to refuse him in becoming his blood claim.
